Yume Mixing Service

Hi ₊˚⊹⋆ I'm Yume, nice to meet you!
I'm a youtaite since 2014 and I mainly sing in japanese and korean.
I started approaching mixing engineering because I needed to learn how to mix my covers and now I'm ready to open my services! I hope you'll find what you're looking for here in my mixing lair~ ๋ ࣭ ⭑๋ ࣭ ⭑
I have no official master degrees or whatsoever, so keep that in mind when you commission me! ༉‧₊˚.

⋅˚₊‧ Terms of Service ‧₊˚ ⋅

  • I’ll open 5 slots per time; once all the slots are covered, I’ll close the commissions. Everything will be reopened when I’ll have at least 3 available slots.

  • Payments will happen through Paypal and will be divided in two halves: the first one before I start working on your commission (without this one, I won’t start working on your request), while the second one must be paid after the work is finished and you have confirmed you’re satisfied with the final result.

  • I’ll work on commissions based on first come, first served; I ask you to always let me know the deadline (and maybe request the commission at least two weeks earlier); if you need a quick work, the price will be doubled.

  • WIPs are included within the discussed price, as well as a total of 4 adjustments during the whole process, so that you can let me know if you feel enthusiastic about the work or need something to be adjusted. If we reach more than 4 changes, you’ll have to pay €3 extra per adjustment.

  • Based on the whole project, I’ll send you a prospect of the time-span I’ll need to finish your request; generally speaking, I’m used to appointing a wide time-span to avoid delays on the deadlines, but in case I won’t be able to respect the deadline, you’ll get notified.

  • I’m free to refuse works that don’t match my taste or workflow, but generally speaking, I’m open to working on songs I don’t know or are out of my comfort zone.

Refunds and commissions’ cancellation will be managed as follows:

  • you’ll get a refund if you cancel the commission before I’ll start working on it (you’ll get properly notified at the start of the work)

  • you won’t get a refund if you cancel the commission when I already started working (the request will then be interrupted and I won’t ask you for the second half of the payment; if you’d like, you can ask to resume the work in the future, respecting the queue and the slot availability, because this will count as a whole new request)

  • you won’t get a refund if you confirm the finished work, pay the second half and receive the final work, because of all the WIPs and adjustments sent during the whole working process.

Specifics for time/tune + mix/master

  • I'm self-taught working on Reaper and Melodyne. Generally speaking, I try to make the work sound as close as the original, but in case you’d like to record a different version (for example, a dance-pop song rearranged acoustically) we’ll work together for a coherent work with the song’s mood and your stylistic choices.

  • Because of personal habits (and a better quality), I always advise to render your recordings in .wav, mono, 441.kHz minimum and 24 bitrate. DO NOT polish your tracks on your own.

  • Please DM me with a clear vision of the work you have in mind and how you’d like me to work on it; please send me the instrumental you’d like to use and on which you have recorded your lines, and dedicate different files for every recording level (for example, one for the mainline, one for adlibs and choirs, one for high harmonies and one for low harmonies).

  • WIPs will be managed to let you hear the differences with your raw tracks and the work I’m doing; for example, in case you request a time/tune + mix/master commission, you’ll receive a first t/t WIP, than a preliminary mix WIP, another WIP with advanced mixing and effects and finally a mastering WIP; in case of changes, you’ll get other WIPs and updates and, whenever I’ll send you a track, I’ll get to explain everything I worked on.

Specifics for harmonies & adlibs guide

  • Guides will be made (and recorded) with my voice, to let them be easier to follow during your recording sessions.

  • I can work on both guides that are faithful to the original song and personalized guides to follow your demands so, before I accept your requests, I’d like to discuss the whole work and the conceptual ideas you’re looking for, so that I can put together a base to work on.

I'll ask you to send me:

  • the song on which you’d like your harmony guide

  • the instrumental on which you’ll record (so that I can time all the guide’s tracks)

  • a detailed description of the project (especially if choral)

Within the work I’ll include:

  • a visual guide with a legend that will signalize every type of recording level

  • an audio track with the full guide over the original song (to let you hear how it sounds overall)

  • separate tracks for every recording level, timed with the instrumental you chose
